Product Specialist - Testing
Position Description:

The Product Specialist is a domain specialist in LRM. This person helps ensure the best quality possible for CCI applications by increasing the testing department’s knowledge and understanding of the customers’ functional and usage requirements through structured knowledge transfers and daily interaction with other testers. Assists testers with creation of functional test cases and end-to-end process documents. Assists testers with exploratory and functional testing. Creates, updates, and retests defect tickets. Reports to the Software Testing Manager.

General Duties

  1. Mentor and Educate testers through structured knowledge transfer; training, meetings and daily interaction.
  2. Assist with creation and maintenance of functional test cases and end-to-end process documents
  3. Works with customers and SMEs when new customer functionality is created to understand testing requirements.
  4. Participate in developer design and review meetings
  5. Functional and exploratory testing
  6. Work with developers to ensure quality throughout the software
  7. Create, update, and retest defect tickets
  8. Ongoing and continually increasing proficiency, training, and understanding of CCI’s applications and real world usage
  9. Other duties as needed

Required KSA’s (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  1. Hands-on, real-world experience with in the LRM domain
  2. BA/BS degree preferred, high school diploma or GED required
  3. Some sql queries experience and basic understanding of relational databases
  4. Solid teamwork skills
  5. Strong familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office tools
  6. Ability to assess the importance and severity of defects
  7. Careful attention to detail
  8. Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills
  9. Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  10. Familiarity with .Net Framework, Visual Basic .Net, and/or Visual Studio is a plus
  11. Experience with Quick Test Pro, HP Quality Center, VBScript, and/or other test automation development is a plus
  12. Excellent oral and written communication skills
