FOUR COLORADO COUNTIES SELECT CCI

FORT COLLINS, Colo., September 5, 2008 - Colorado CustomWare, Inc. (CCI) was recently chosen by four Colorado counties to provide their Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) solution. Montezuma, Las Animas, Cheyenne and Sedgwick counties join eight other Colorado counties in using CCI’s industry-leading CAMA solution, RealWare, and CCI is grateful to be able to provide solutions to such wonderful people.

Cheyenne County, named for the Cheyenne Indians of the Great Plains, was established in 1889. The county is 1,700 square miles and is home to 2,000 people. Located on the Kansas border in east central Colorado, Cheyenne County is a bustling agricultural community that has recently seen growth from new energy exploration and production.

“Cheyenne County is very thrilled to be partnering with the team at Colorado CustomWare,” said Assessor Ambie Cullins. “Our move to RealWare will reduce unnecessary data-entry functions and will streamline procedures, making the office more efficient and confident about our data. The program is user-friendly and functional and will bring us into the technology that is happening now. Not only are we excited about the product, but it’s apparent that client focus is No. 1 in all aspects.”

Montezuma County'sseat of Cortez is located in scenic southwestern Colorado, near historic Mesa Verde National Park. Encompassing more than 2,000 square miles, Montezuma County supports a rich mixture of agriculture, tourism, and industry. Nearly two-thirds of the county is owned by the federal government and various Native American tribes. Montezuma represents Colorado’s portion on the famous “Four Corners.” Montezuma County Assessor Mark Vanderpool said he is “excited and happy about the upcoming conversion to RealWare.”

Las Animas County, nestled in south central Colorado, adjoining the New Mexico border, has a population of 15,500 within its nearly 5,000 square miles, and includes the city of Trinidad. Camping, fishing, hunting, and a 15,000 square foot, state-of-the-art skate park are some of the many activities visitors and residents enjoy here. Las Animas County is also home to two of the most scenic roads in Colorado, the Highway of Legends and the Santa Fe Trail Scenic Highway.

Las Animas Assessor Dan Espinoza said, “Your company has shown me that you will provide our county with the tools we need to produce a good product. When I visited your facility I was very impressed with what I saw. That showed me that it's all about teamwork. After that meeting, I knew I had to be part of your organization. In fact, I wrote this quote down on a piece of paper: “Teamwork – when a collection of minds, hearts and talents work together, great things can happen."

Sedgwick County, the northeastern-most county in the state, began as Fort Sedgwick, a military post along the Platte Trail. Sedgwick County is located just miles from Interstate 80 and the main Trans-Continental rail line. According to Assessor Robert Johnson, Sedgwick County needed to upgrade their technology while staying within very inflexible budget constraints, and CCI allowed them to accomplish both goals.

CCI Business Development Specialist Ko Clifton explained that plans for the transition to RealWare are already in the works for the four jurisdictions.

“We plan to have all four counties live on the software by the end of the year. Although we have jurisdictions all over the United States, Colorado is our home, so it is especially exciting to welcome new Colorado counties into our family of RealWare users.”
