CCI SIGNS CONTRACT WITH BUNCOMBE COUNTY, NC

Fort Collins, CO, February 25, 2010 – CCI is pleased to announce that Buncombe County, NC is the latest jurisdiction to purchase the Encompass Suite of products, including software applications for assessment (CAMA and Admin) and tax collections with integrated workflow and GIS data visualization. By using CCI’s natively integrated .NET Encompass Suite, Buncombe County, which has seen consistent and steady growth, can address the challenging economy. At a time when service-related government offices are continually asked to do more with less, CCI’s products will enable Buncombe County to continue to be efficient and hold down the overall cost of appraisal and collections.

Buncombe County is the first county in North Carolina to partner with CCI . The evaluation process included conducting research over several years, participating in product demonstrations, and visiting the CCI offices in Fort Collins, Colorado.

“Our mainframe-based legacy system was technically outmoded and lacked efficiencies that supported daily work and provided management information quickly. It was imperative that we select a product that has fully integrated assessment and collection functionality that allows data and workflow processes to flow seamlessly throughout the department,” said Gary Roberts, Director of Buncombe County’s Tax Department. “We sought a product with robust appraisal tools and a component to increase efficiency for the appraisers in the field. On the collections side we need to be able to continue to efficiently pursue all avenues of collection including interfaces to mortgage companies, banks and employers. RealWare and CollectWare met all of these requirements, and we are excited to begin implementation.”

A community of more than 200,000 tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, Buncombe County boasts historic architecture mixed with a progressive culture.
