For Immediate Release:
MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ SELECTS COLORADO CUSTOMWARE FOR A COMPLETE ASSESSMENT SYSTEM
FORT COLLINS, Colo., March 30, 2006 - Colorado CustomWare, Inc. (CCI) a leading
developer of Land Records Management (LRM) solutions, is very proud to announce
that Mohave County, AZ, selected CCI to provide a complete assessment solution.
CCI's full suite of assessment products includes Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal
(CAMA) software, which is completely integrated with a GIS and field collections
system.
Mohave County is the first jurisdiction in AZ to partner with CCI. Lori Schlotter,
CCI's President and CEO stated, "We are excited to enter into this teaming agreement
with Mohave County. Their excellent management team and 'get it done' attitude will
be key elements in the success of this project. I think that the value this project
brings to Mohave County will result in other AZ jurisdictions working with CCI in
the near future. Thank you Mohave County!!!"
Mohave County has 250,000 parcels and is located in the northwestern corner of AZ.
It is also home to Lake Havasu. The Kingman Daily Miner reported the following after
speaking to County Assessor Ronald Nicholson:
"The selection committee unanimously chose the proposal by Colorado CustomWare Inc.,"
Nicholson said. "In addition to costing significantly less than the other finalist,
it responded to all of the listed needs." Nicholson said they also stood out by
offering a "complete and concrete plan for installation and integration with county
systems with few (if any) exceptions. Client satisfaction, proven track record and
a clear and understandable proposal, which followed all instructions, put CCI far
above the rest."
According to Project Manager Ko Clifton, the fact that they chose to go with the
full suite of assessment products will be very beneficial for Mohave County. "When
a jurisdiction selects the complete package, they have the ability to utilize all
of our products in one integrated system. It drastically reduces the amount of duplicate
data entries, saving them a substantial amount of money and time."
CCI will be streamlining many assessment processes with Mohave County. One feature
that will be beneficial for Mohave and future AZ counties is the ability to report
data electronically with the Department of Revenue. In addition, CCI is customizing
the CAMA piece to allow for multi level taxable values and multiple tax rates per
account. This will be incompliance with AZ tax laws.
